Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: May 2026
Some of the links on SoftwareStackPro are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, I may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. It never changes my opinion, my ranking, or what I recommend. That’s the whole deal.
What affiliate links are
An affiliate link is a special tracking link. When you click it and go on to sign up for or buy a product, the company knows you came from SoftwareStackPro and pays me a small referral commission. The price you pay is exactly the same as it would be if you’d gone to the company directly — affiliate commissions come out of the company’s marketing budget, never your pocket.
It’s the same model used by most review sites you’ve ever read. The difference is in how it’s handled — and I’ve tried to handle it as honestly as I can.
How this affects what you read
It doesn’t. This is the part that matters most, so I’ll be blunt about it:
No company pays for a good review. No company can pay to rank higher, score better, or be recommended over a competitor. The presence — or absence — of an affiliate link has zero influence on what I write or which tool I tell you to choose.
When I recommend a tool, it’s because I’ve used it and believe it’s the right pick for the reader I’m writing for. When a tool isn’t worth it, I say so plainly, even if there’s a generous commission attached. A review you can’t trust is worthless to both of us.
Why I use affiliate links at all
Honestly? They’re what keeps the site running. Testing software properly means paying for real subscriptions, real hosting plans, and the time it takes to use each tool the way you would. Affiliate commissions cover those costs so the reviews can stay free, independent, and free of intrusive ads or paid placements.
If you find a review useful and choose to buy through one of my links, it genuinely helps — and I appreciate it. If you’d rather go to the company directly, that’s completely fine too. You’ll never be worse off either way.

When a page contains affiliate links, you’ll also find a short note near the relevant recommendation so it’s clear in the moment, not just buried on this page.
